In the previous forum I remember discussing if it was worth getting a PS3 when Little Big Planet was going to be released.

How is the situation now? In my case I have still man other games that take up my precious free time and no need to spend money on a PS3 and game. On the other hand I looking forward to read some feedback on the game.

390,- euro is still way to mush for a console with only one good game (litle big planet) so i would say... No!

Shure Litle Big Planet is a wonderfull game but spending so mush money over just one game is a bit a wased of money. i would rather spend it on the big line up of new games that come out right now. and for 390,- you can buy a lot of other great games that easely serpas the time you will spent playing litle big planet.

Indeed, I'll wait with the PS3 til there are more attractive titles on the console. LBP is probably the most expensive game of the year! For me at least, since it's the only thing I'd like to play on the PS3 just right now.

I think that PS3 has a little way to go before I will well and truly agree to getting it. There are only a few titles that appeal and for me the cost isn't quite warranted yet. Hopefully soon. I think my husband wants a blu ray player eventually, might as well get a PS3 if that's the case!

and what do I see, those marketing bastards? A PS3 bundle with of course LBP for the price of a PS3 which currently is almost 400 euros in the Netherlands. Although this game seems sooooo cool, I control my feelings a little bit and realistically admit that 400 is still way to much to spend, and currently only LBP is the game for which I need a PS3. Let's see how long I can control my feelings LOL

LBP is so awesome! Been playing at my friends place and it's just so much fun! Just buy a PS3 controller and play at a friend or somethings place who own a PS3 and LBP!

The more, the merrier. ;D

here at nisute we have 2 ps3's both with litle big planet. its a fun game but not fun enough in my eyes to spent 300,- + on a game console. if it would all be under 300,- i might consider it but only if the game is incl.

No one game is worth over three hundred dollars. However, the neat thing about the PS3 is that it's also a blu-ray player. So, if you're in the market for a blu-ray player anyway, it might be something to consider.

On Little Big Planet:
So far, it's enjoyable. The music is peppy and fun, it's fun to customize and the levels are unique and interesting. It is, however, a little bit time consuming. You're forced to go through a series of tutorials before you can begin building your own levels, which is irritating to someone like me, because I learn best by diving in. Oh well, rather than going off on a tirade, I think it's a game worth
renting, but not necessarily worth buying and certainly not worth buying a new console for.

In your situation I would wait until some more 'exclusive' titles come out on the PS3 before you make any decisions about buying one. LBP isn't all that great, sure you can make your own interactive levels but hey, that takes time and alot of planning to do. 3/4 of the time which you spend on the game would be just trying to figure out how that block can fall on that one to make you fly over a tree? No sense.

Once an exclusive title comes out, such as the likes of GTA IV (which I know is on both the xbox too) you should consider buying one. Right now all the exclusives are coming out on the the xbox which is sucky! :-/

THIS: website is why you should wait!

Analyst Dates PlayStation 3 Price Drop For April
------------------------------------------------------------------
Microsoft says its anticipating a PlayStation 3 price drop in the "springtime," but what about the video game industry's best-known analysts? One has pegged Sony for a PS3 price cut as early as April.

Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter has consulted the spirit world (and probably a spreadsheet or two, to be fair) bringing back word that he expects a $299 PlayStation 3 to appear at retail in just three months. Again, not his job to officially date price cuts, but to make with the predictions.

And, given Microsoft's foreknowledge of said price drop, Mr. Pachter is supposing that Microsoft will undercut Sony once more, shedding $50 from the Xbox 360 "Pro" model soon after Sony moves.

With Sony reported to show its first annual loss in 14 years, a price drop at this point might seem unlikely. But if the PS3 wants to step out of third place in this console generation, cuts are going to have to come.

Pachter: $299 PS3 due in April, $249 360 in June
